Marching Band

Throughout Emmas time at Miami, she also taught at Finneytown High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. At Finneytown, Emma served as the Director of Woodwinds for the Marching Band for two seasons. During this time, the band performed top five at MSBA State Finals and received a rating of a I at OMEA state Finals. Emma also gave clarinet lessons in the off-season.

Field Placements

Throughout the Music Education degree at Miami, pre-service teachers are assigned multiple field placements with local teachers at all age levels. Emma had repeating field placements over two semesters at Princeton Middle School working with their 7th grade, 8th grade, and advanced band as well as working one on one with multiple students repeatedly providing private lessons for brass and woodwinds.
